TT850 -Implementing and Using CA-Endevor/DB 1 hour This course is intended for DBAs using CA-Endevor/DB to control, monitor, and promote the CA-IDMS Integrated Data Dictionary components. It discusses the implementation of CA-Endevor/DB, the control and monitoring functions, security system, promotion support, and additional utilities used in the CA-Endevor/DB CA-IDMS environment. CA-Endevor/DB Overview Provides an overview of CA-Endevor/DB functionality. Describes the overall capabilities of CA-Endevor/DB, provides a system overview and presents the concepts of the major system components. Change Monitor This section discusses the Change Monitor authorizations and the Change Control Database (CCDB). Management Facility Explains how the CA-Endevor/DB Administrator and project managers, define and view information in the CCDB that is useful in monitoring project workflow and programmer productivity, use the Management Facility. Security System Discusses how CA-Endevor/DB Security System enhances IDD-level security enforcement. Promotion Facility This section discusses how the CA-Endevor/DB Promotion Facility supports copying, or promotion, of IDD definitions from a source dictionary to a target dictionary. Utilities and Reporting This section will review CA-Endevor/DB utilities for archive and compress, booking, JCL converter, and source code comparator.
