Introduction to CA-IDMS DC/UCF
System Performance and Tuning
Course Description
Students will learn how to review
the major indicators that affect the performance of their DC/UCF system, how to
analyze them plus the available standard tools to monitor the very most
important metrics.
Topics of Discussions:
- The establishment of realistic
performance goals and how to confirm results
- Evaluation of effective
monitoring procedures for those goals
- Detail discussion of what
constitutes a CA-IDMS-DC/UCF system resources which includes Storage
Management, Program Management, and Interpretation of I/O for your system,
its demands and effects on performance and response time.
- How to balance system
resources against application usage and transaction demand
- Practice of skills needed to
determine where important metrics can be displayed realtime using
CA-IDMS-DC/UCF powerful DCMT tasks and available standard reports.
Prerequisites
Students should are have good
knowledge of CA-IDMS DC/UCF.
