Tiburon Technologies joins EMC Corporation
Over the past two decades, Tiburon has worked hard to develop a comprehensive suite of services for legacy systems. The opportunity to deliver this capability on a broader basis has been at the heart of our efforts to expand our channels over the past few years. I wanted to be the first to tell you that one of the most important players in the IT industry has decided to help expand our reach.
Today we are announcing that Tiburon has been acquired by EMC Corporation, a global leader in enabling businesses and service providers to transform their operations and deliver IT as a service. Tiburon will immediately join EMC Global Services. EMC Global Services is the largest information-focused services organization in the world with 14,000+ professionals who provide consulting, implementation, integration, solution, education, management, and support services.
As Tiburon explored opportunities for expanding and enhancing services to our customers, we discovered a tremendous alignment with EMC?s strategy. EMC?s acquisition of Tiburon further reinforces EMC?s strategy to help meet customer demand for solutions that enable clients? journey to the cloud. EMC?s existing portfolio includes a variety of mainframe solutions and services. The acquisition of Tiburon expands that portfolio with the addition of a new set of Consulting services. The Tiburon services complement the existing portfolio and enable EMC to drive a more strategic discussion with customers that demonstrates value across the application and information infrastructure, and speeds clients? journey to the cloud.
